OverviewThis document sets out the National Minimum Standards for the quality of personal care and support which people receive whilst living in their own home in the community provided by domiciliary care agencies, including local authority provision and NHS Trusts. Service provision relates to a wide range of people in the community, including older people and those with physical disabilities, mental health problems, learning disabilities, as well as children and their families and personal or family carers. The standards relate to the following subjects: user focused services, personal care, protection, managers and staff, organisation and business procedures. These standards are published in accordance with section 23 (1) of the Care Standards Act 2000.
