Andrew Jordan Nance is the author of the critically acclaimed Puppy Mind, The Lion in Me, Mindful Arts in the Classroom (Parallax Press) and The Barefoot King (Shambhala Publications). He is the founder of Mindful Arts San Francisco, a program of the San Francisco Education Fund, which brings volunteers into area schools using storytelling, art, and theater activities. Anaís Balbás, illustrator, was born in Venezuela and later moved to Puerto Rico where she grew up, studied graphic design and earned her bachelor's degree.
