Rosa van Almen, born in 1951, has been working as a behavioral therapist for more than 30 years in her own practice, focusing on result-oriented behavioral therapy. She has a diploma in psychology as well as a master of arts in pedagogy, communicational science and psychology. Her treatment mainly focuses on adaptational troubles, fears, depression, burnout, life crises (job, marriage, family), sleeping disorders, pain therapy and somatization dysfunctions. Her methods include exercise- and sports therapy, coaching and personal mentoring, relaxation therapy (breathing techniques, autogenic training, progressive muscle relaxation after Jacobson, and meditational exercise), hypnosis, animal supported psychotherapy, mourning- and terminal care. Van Almen's work team consists of therapy dogs that she trained herself over the course of the last 30 years. In the beginning of her practice work, she also had a therapy horse that she mainly involved in her work with children.
