Overview

"Who let the dog out? Out of its book, that is. Announcing the CD only ""Dog Train"" - the funky, fabulous collection of all out rock music by the team that created the No 1 ""New York Times"" bestselling ""Philadelphia Chickens"". Taken directly from ""Dog Train"", the book and CD with 150,000 copies in print, it's the same great music, now in the brilliant format music lovers love - the handy little jewel case that makes it perfect to sell wherever kids CD's are available. It includes 16 original Boynton & Ford songs sung by Kate Winslet, Blues Traveler, Alison Krauss, Hootie & The Blowfish, Steve Lawrence & Eydie Gorme, and other stars."

Author Information

"Sandra Boynton is a popular American cartoonist, children's author, songwriter, producer, animator, and director. Since 1974, Boynton has written and illustrated over seventy-five children's books and seven general audience books, including six New York Times bestsellers. More than 85 million of her books have been sold, ""mostly to friends and family,"" she says. She has also written--with Michael Ford--and produced six albums of renegade children's music. Three of her six albums have been certified Gold (over 500,000 copies sold) and ""Philadelphia Chickens,"" nominated for a Grammy, has been certified Platinum (over 1 million copies sold). She lives in rural New England, and her studio is in a barn with perhaps the only hippopotamus weathervane in America. She invites you to visit her online at sandraboynton.com. Michael Ford, Sandra Boynton's esteemed collaborator on Philadelphia Chickens and Rhinoceros Tap, is a classically trained composer and pianist, with a long detour in Progressive Rock performance. He and his family live down the road a spell from Sandy."
