Overview

After the brutal murder of her mother, sixteen-year-old Dixie Dandelion finds herself alone on a wagon train heading west. Threatened by the ruthless man who killed her mother, Dixie steals a horse from a Pinkerton agent to escape. Her perilous journey to the town of Six Shooter Siding may be her only chance to survive. At first, Dixie seeks refuge as a cook in a railroad camp.
