His monograph Embedded Courts: Judicial Decision Making in China with Kwai Hang Ng won the ""Distinguished Book Award” awarded by the Asian Law & Society Association. He was awarded the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship of Hong Kong in 2019."
