This is another wonderful planner by Dr. Haynes that I am finding hard to put down! The Experiences givne and the prompts leading to our expressions are fantastic. They give unexperienced prayer warriors a new beginning - from preparing oneself mentally to seek God to following directions on comfortably starting conversations (prayers) with Our Heavenly Father. This book is also an informative source to those faithful followers of God who someimes find themselves reciting repetitive prayers. This book gives good and new starters for praying. I am not quite finished because I see quite a few more ideas I can adhere to in order to get me through my life's struggles. This planner gives easy step by step directions and follow-up Scriptures for further references. Thank you Dr. Haynes! We are not the first, the last, or the only one who has been or will be going through our situation. We get the chance to travel through so many people in the Bible who faced similar situations and triumphed because they remembered to whom they belonged and they used prayer as a weapon. They remembered the authority and strength God had already given them and they held onto the many times God had brought them through before. We look at these people and understand that our situations are very similar. The details may look different, but the expectations and understanding from God are always the same. How much confidence, faith, and trust did it take from Daniel when he was thrown into the lion's den? We may feel like we are in the lion's den, but it's not quite that bad. If Daniel could handle it, so can we. Dr. Chonta's tries to help us understand how powerful prayer truly is. She has been through incredibly difficult situations and knows how hard it is to stand on the promises of God at times. But, she stands with us, shoulder to shoulder to help us remember we have each other, as well as the Holy Spirit to keep us strong. We need to pray before, during, and after our trials.
