OverviewThis study was carried out on the ""Diversity and Management of Non-Ligneous Forest Products (NTFPs) in the commune of PISSA in the Central African Republic"" from April to June 2014. The work consists of contributing to the sustainable management of NTFPs in CAR in general and in the commune of PISSA in particular.The methodology used consists of conducting semi-structured direct surveys using a pre-established questionnaire, allowing to interview 79 people including 61% men and 39% women, divided into four ethnic groups that are the Ngbaka (59%), Mbati (20%), Aka pygmies (12%), and Bofi (9%). The results of this survey reveal 102 plant species, divided into 78 genera and 42 families used in the commune of PISSA, of which 50% are used in food, 24% in traditional pharmacopoeia and 26% in other services. The most commonly used plant organs are leaves, bark, fruit, seeds and stems; the most common types of use are snacks, vegetables, condiments, tea and packaging.
