Previously, he was Technical Director at Parsons Brinckerhoff (now WSP) and AECOM, leading their work on District Heating and Cooling. He has degrees from Cambridge and Cranfield Universities and is a Fellow of the IMechE, CIBSE and the Energy Institute. He was presented with the CHP Champion award in 2012 by the CHP Association (now the ADE). He was the author of the first edition of the CIBSE/ADE Code of Practice for Heat Networks in the UK.
