OverviewLubricating oils are of great importance and are present in various human activities. They began to be used as soon as there was a need to reduce friction between two parties. To reach the current state of this product, several developments have taken place, and one of the most important and challenging points today is control over the disposal of used lubricating oil, OLUC. Most of the companies surveyed dispose of between 51 and 100 litres of oil per month and sell between 21 and 50 litres per month. Of the companies surveyed, 84 per cent said they inspected their establishments, but there was no set frequency. With regard to storage, 52% use metal containers to deposit OLUC and 40% use plastic containers. The results also show that 93% of the companies dispose of the waste properly, by having it removed by the collection company, while 7% of those surveyed admit to selling it to third parties.
