Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationFanny Karouta-Manasse has a university degree in plant biology and a PhD in marine ecology, both from Montpellier University in France. She also studied macroalgae species at the Rijksherbarium, University of Leiden in the Netherlands. In 2009, Fanny joined the Friends of the Australian National Botanic Gardens in Canberra and volunteers at the National Seed Bank, combining her passions for nature and photography. This led to a solo photographic exhibition on native plants and birds in 2013, and in 2015 one of her seed images was 'Highly Commended' in the Australian Museum's Eureka Prize.
