(2007) and Ph.D. (2011) in Materials Science at Harbin Institute of Technology, China. He is currently a full professor at the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Welding and Joining and School of Materials Science and Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology. His research focuses on the design, fabrication, tailoring, modification, microstructure, properties, deformation and heat treatment of metal matrix composites, especially titanium matrix composites (TMCs). He has published more than 75 peer-reviewed research papers in prestigious international and national journals, and has received several awards including Heilongjiang Province’s First Class and Second Class Award of Science and Technology, and Harbin Institute of Technology’s Excellent Ph.D. Thesis Award. Dr. Lin Geng received his Ph.D. (1990) in Materials Science at Harbin Institute of Technology, China, where he is currently a full professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering. His research focuses on the design, fabrication, tailoring, modification, microstructure, properties, deformation and heat treatment of metal matrix composites, including aluminum matrix composites (AMCs), titanium matrix composites (TMCs) and intermetallic matrix composites. He has published more than 350 peer-reviewed research papers in prestigious international and national journals, and has received two Awards of Science and Technology from Heilongjiang Province.
