Inspired by the story of John Martin Scripps, a British serial killer eventually hanged in Singapore. This previously untold, 'truth is stranger than fiction' story came to light when two inmates met on a prison landing and shared tales of past cellmates. A combination of confidence, charm and butchery skills taught within the prison system, enabled one man to emerge from petty criminal to a truly chilling murderer. Author Information

Rebecca Stone's inspiration comes from sensitive and sometimes dangerous true stories. Drawing upon her own experiences and some of the interesting and inspiring people she's had the privelige to get to know along the way. She writes without judgement as she scratches beneath the surface of seemingly violent and damaged people. Rebecca's day jobs have included wife, mother, police Detective and Business Woman; but Creative Writing was recognised as her true strength from early childhood. Finding her voice on the page, Rebecca wrote prolifically until - as she states - 'life got in the way'.
