Each unit's full name and address (with Chinese translation) and further contact information is given. Additional information for most entries includes founding dates, officers, staff/teachers and students/members, divisions and branches, departments and faculties, aims and activities, achievements, facilities and holdings, histories, and other useful data. Three indices help to retrieve data concerning organizations in a particular province (municipality or autonomous region), to pinpoint organizations active in a particular field and to find by Chinese phonetics (pinyin).
