This book is a commentary on the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the universally-accepted framework for diplomacy between sovereign States. The author was a Legal Counsellor in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office when she wrote the first edition of this well-respected work. She is currently Visiting Professor of Law at UCL where she teaches the law of foreign relations.
