Elisabeth Kendall is Senior Research Fellow in Arabic and Islamic Studies at Pembroke College, Oxford University. Previously, she held positions at the Universities of Edinburgh and Harvard, as well as serving as Director of a UK government sponsored Center focused on building Arabic-based research expertise. Her current research examines how militant jihad groups exploit traditional local Arab cultures. She has lectured at government and academic institutions all around the world. Yehia A. Mohamed is an Associate Professor of Arabic at Georgetown University in Qatar. He earned his Ph.D. (2008) in Arabic and Semitic Studies from Cairo University. He has served as a lecturer in Arabic programs at the George Washington University, the Middle East Institute, Johns Hopkins University, the University of Maryland, and Georgetown University's Main Campus in Washington DC. He has developed courses and taught numerous instructional Arabic skill-based and content-based classes, as well as conducting proficiency and assessment exams. Yehia A.
