Trained as a civil engineer at Delft University of Technology, he worked as a specialist building engineer for Arup in Amsterdam and London before pursuing a PhD. In 2018, he earned his PhD from the IT University of Copenhagen. Anne-Catrin Schultz (Edited by) Anne-Catrin Schultz, born in 1970, is an architect, architectural historian, and author. She is a professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology, where she teaches history, theory courses, and research studios. She has previously taught at Universität Stuttgart, where she received her PhD, as well as at the University of California, Berkeley, California College of the Arts (CCA), and the City College of San Francisco. Her research focuses on historic and contemporary tectonics exploring the links between technology, performance, and narrative. Filip van de Voorde (Edited by) Filip van de Voorde has over 25 years of experience as a structural engineer, specialising in architectural projects. Holding a degree in civil engineering architecture, he collaborates closely with leading architectural firms, striving to enhance their designs through innovative and efficient structural solutions. In recent years, he has also taken on a role in academia, serving as a guest professor at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Antwerp, where he teaches Structural Design and Construction. Isak Worre Foged (Edited by) Isak Worre Foged, born in 1982, is an architect and civil engineer by training. He is a professor at the Royal Danish Academy, Institute of Architecture and Design, where he leads the CEMAS - Center for Material Studies. His research is focused on investigating dynamic relations between materials, humans and specific environments, where thermal and acoustic phenomena are of particular focus, impacting both individual quality of life and society's ability to become viable and desirable. For 15 years, he has evolved an innovation-based architectural studio, Pasold Foged Architects, with the aim to propose, demonstrate and test experimental ideas and projects in field conditions.
