OverviewThis book explores into the future of agriculture, where technology and sustainability intersect to revolutionize farming practices. It delves into the concept of digital twins-virtual replicas of physical farm assets and processes-and their transformative impacts on modern agriculture. The book also highlights various applications of digital twin technology in agriculture, from crop monitoring and soil health management to livestock productivity and precision irrigation. Through detailed case studies, real-world examples, and success stories, this book showcases the tangible benefits of integrating digital twins into farming operations. Moreover, it also addresses the implementation strategies for adopting this technology, including the integration of IoT sensors, data collection and development of digital twin frameworks. The authors conclude by discussing the technical, operational and data privacy issues that farmers and agricultural technologists may encounter, providing practical solutions to overcome these barriers in the agriculture sector. This book is a suitable read for students, academicians and researchers working at the intersect of agriculture and artificial intelligence.
