⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - neku74 (United States) Easy to read and surprisingly comprehensive guide to digital literacy for any age I thought that this book would only cover obvious topics like online safety, bullying, not talking to strangers or posting inappropriate content. It covered a lot of topics that I didn't expect, like phishing, creating secure passwords, cookies, how to write emails, etc. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Rosei (United States) Extremely helpful I've been searching for a book like this for teens for a long time, and I'm glad I found it! It covers almost everything a modern teenager should know about digital safety, the unwritten rules of the digital world, how things work, and the potential consequences of our actions online. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Paula (United States) A Guide for Teens The advice is clear, practical, and easy for teens to understand and apply. It's a great resource for any young person growing up in today's digital world, and as a parent, I feel more confident knowing she has these tools.

Author Information

Ferne Bowe is a parent, marketing professional, and author of Life Skills for Young Adults & Life Skills for Tweens. With two kids of her own, she has first-hand experience with the challenges and triumphs of raising a teen. While watching her kids growing up, she noticed the gap between the skills kids need to thrive in the real world and what they are taught in school. For example, she noted that while kids are often taught how to get good grades, they are rarely taught how to manage their finances or have difficult conversations. She is on a mission to close that gap and help kids, and young adults find their purpose, develop self-awareness and confidence, and build their skills to create a life they love. Her message is simple: Mastering life skills and taking ownership of day-to-day tasks is the key to success, no matter your goals. Adopting this principle helps tweens, teens, and young adults develop the skills they need to live a successful life.Ferne loves traveling, spending time with her family and friends, reading, and running. She also enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and singing (badly). When she's not in front of a PC, you'll usually find her outside enjoying the countryside.
