He has served as Editor of the European Journal of Pediatric Dermatology and is currently Chairman of the Italian Forum of Pediatric Dermatology (internet-based). He was the first president of the Italian Society for Pediatric Dermatology (2000-2003) and is one of the past presidents of the European Society for Pediatric Dermatology (1987-90).
