English summary: During the time of the New Kingdom (from around 1550 to 1075 BC), the region between Syene (Aswan) at the first cataract and Hagar el-Merwa (Kurgus) south of the fourth cataract known as Nubia constituted one of Egypt's main sources of income in terms of raw materials, animals and people. Despite fierce opposition, this area, which was inhabited by a population that was particularly African-influenced, was conquered by Egypt within a few decades. Arranged in three sections this study analyzes and critically assesses more than 1,000 inscriptions and images concerning Nubia during the period of the New Kingdom. Not only the viceroys and distinguished office-bearers, but all persons, both Nubians and Egyptians, who are referred to in connection with the southern province are recorded in tables, arranged according to their function and task. The names of relatives have also been registered in the form of a prosopographical study, even if they were not active in Nubia. In addition, the author has assembled every known text document ranging from royal decrees to graffiti, thus making possible a verification of their interpretation. Chr.) hinsichtlich Rohstoffen, Tieren und Menschen eine der Haupteinnahmequellen fur Agypten. Trotz heftiger Gegenwehr wurde dieses von einer ausgesprochen afrikanisch gepragten Bevolkerung besiedelte Gebiet innerhalb weniger Jahrzehnte von Agypten erobert. Mehr als 1000 Inschriften und Darstellungen zu Nubien im Neuen Reich werden in diesem Band in drei Abschnitten eingehend analysiert und kritisch ausgewertet. Nicht nur die Vizekonige und hohen Amtstrager, sondern alle Personen, sowohl Nubier als auch Agypter, die im Zusammenhang mit der sudlichen Provinz erwahnt werden, sind geordnet nach ihren Funktionen und Aufgaben in Tabellen erfasst. Auch Verwandte, selbst wenn diese nicht in Nubien tatig waren, werden in Form einer prosopographischen Studie genannt. Die Autorin stellt zudem alle bekannten Texte von koniglichen Erlassen bis hin zu Graffiti zusammen und ermoglicht so das Uberprufen ihrer Interpretationen.
