English summary: The history of political events of the Etruscans begins with the development of public structures in the 8th century BC. It ends 89 BC, when the last of the Etruscan city states gains roman citizenships and is included in the roman federation. In spite of vastly growing number archaeological findings and new methods of approach, there are few attempts to present the history of the Etruscans. The work tries to fill in this gap. The author offers a consolidated and accurate presentation of the rise and the development of the Etruscan states based on historic events. The political organisation includes territorial boundaries, the citizens, the constitution and law, the economy, the religion and inter stately relations. Additionally the Etruscan alliance, interstate contracts and united warfare is discussed. German description: Die politische Ereignisgeschichte der Etrusker beginnt mit der Entstehung der staatlichen Strukturen im 8. Jahrhundert v. Chr. und endet im Jahre 89 v. Chr. als die letzten etruskischen Stadtstaaten durch Erhalt des romischen Burgerrechts in den romischen Staatsverband aufgenommen wurden. Trotz eines enormen Zuwachses an archaologischen Funden und neuen methodischen Zugangen gibt es bisher kaum Versuche, die politische Geschichte der Etrusker darzustellen. Diese Lucke will das vorliegende Buch schliessen: Die Autorin behandelt kompakt und prazise den Aufbau der etruskischen Staaten und deren Entwicklung aufgrund historischer Ereignisse. Zur politischen Organisation gehorten die territorialen Grenzen, die Staatsburger, die Verfassung, Rechtspflege, Wirtschaft, Staatsreligion und zwischenstaatliche Beziehungen. Aber auch der Etrusker-Bund, die internationalen Vertrage und gemeinsame Kriegshandlungen werden erortert.
