1:1 Am Anfang schuf Gott den Himmel und die Erde. 1:1 V začetku je Bog ustvaril nebo in zemljo. 1:2 Und die Erde war formlos und leer; Und Finsternis lag auf dem Antlitz der Tiefe. Und der Geist Gottes bewegte sich auf dem Antlitz des Wassers. 1:2 In zemlja je bila brez oblike in prazna; in tema je bila nad globino. In Bozji duh se je gibal nad vodami. 1:3 Und Gott sprach: Es werde Licht, und es ward Licht. 1:3 In Bog je rekel: Naj bo svetloba! In bila je svetloba. 1:4 Und Gott sah das Licht, daß es gut war, und Gott trennte das Licht von der Finsternis. 1:4 In Bog je videl luč, da je dobra, in Bog je ločil luč od teme. 1:5 Und Gott nannte das Licht Tag, und die Finsternis nannte er Nacht. Und der Abend und der Morgen waren der erste Tag. 1:5 In Bog je svetlobo imenoval dan, temo pa noč. In bil je večer in bilo je jutro, prvi dan.
