This is the story of my journey with breast cancer, from diagnosis to surgery, through the sad, the bad, and the funny times. Carol resides in Glasgow, Scotland, where she has lived for most of her life apart from a brief time spent in England in her youth, where they promptly sent her back for being too cheeky. The youngest of five siblings who all grew up in Glasgow in the 50s, she is no stranger to overcoming adversity in her life. Didn t Expect That, Did You? is her first published book and the realisation of her desire to share her breast cancer journey in the hope that it helps others going through the same experience in their own lives. When not writing, she enjoys knitting and reading and having battles of will with her sassy Jack Russell terrier, Wee Jessie. (Wee Jessie occasionally lets her win).
