OverviewCement-bone dysplasia (CBD) is the most common fibro-bone lesion affecting affecting the dental arches, characterized by the replacement of normal bone with variable amounts of fibrous tissue containing neoformed mineralized mineralized tissue. COD is usually asymptomatic, often discovered incidentally during a routine radiological examination. However, an infectious complication may occur, and COD then becomes symptomatic. The radiological appearance of these lesions may vary according to the subtype of COD (periapical, focal, florid or familial florid) and the stage of development reached by the lesion (early, mixed or mature). In the absence of complications, the best course of action is abstention and monitoring. However, symptomatic cases require special management.
