Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationBorn in Wenzhou on the east coast of China, Kam Chiang lived in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Canada before immigrating to the United States in 1982. Chiang studied at the National Taiwan University and received his master's degree in science from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He worked for several oil companies in Canada before becoming an independent geological consultant. A paleontologist and petroleum-exploration geologist, Chiang made important oil and gas discoveries in both Canada and the United States. One of his greatest achievements was the delineation of the important Hoadley giant gas field in south-central Alberta, Canada. Chiang has published articles in The Journal of Paleontology.
