Nach dem Studium der Physik war Dr. Carl Freytag bis 1996 am Meteorologischen Institut der Universität MÃ""nchen tätig. 1976 promovierte er Ã""ber atmosphärische Turbulenz und habilitierte sich 1988 mit einer Arbeit Ã""ber den Wind im Inntal. Jenseits der Wetterkarte arbeitet er im Bereich Kulturgeschichte/Philosophie und Zeitgeschichte und arbeitet als freier Publizist und Ãbersetzer. Prof. Dr. Oliver Rathkolb teaches at the Institute for Contemporary History at the University of Vienna and is Chairman of the International Scientific Advisory Board of the House of History Austria.
