Overview4 pulp detective stories collected for the first time. Detective's Ex: Gunned down during an attempted robbery, Mister Polinski was a kind old man who ran the local shop that never closed. With the police understaffed, Lauren Corrigan launches an investigation of her own. Without training, Lauren feels she has picked up enough knowledge of the job from her detective ex-lover to stand a chance of solving the murder. The deeper she delves into the mystery, the more suspects she uncovers, but Lauren would prefer to confront the gunman face-to-face than admit her ex-lover may just have been right after all. The Murder of Snowman Joe: A terrible snowstorm sees the small rural village of Barrowville cut off from the rest of the country. When local children discover a corpse hidden within the body of a snowman it becomes clear the storm has trapped a murderer in the village. Forced to deal with a crime she has never before faced, Detective Felicity Hart calls in the services of big city detective John Stoker, now living out his retirement in the small community. With his own daughter murdered years earlier, Stoker fears Hart will become yet another young woman to die due to his own inability to look after the people he loves. Also includes Murder While You Wait and, exclusive to this paperback, One-Way Ticket to Murder. My first e-book was Operation WetFish: Vampire Detective, followed by a mainly unconnected series of dinosaur stories, the first of which was titled Dinosaur Prison World. I like to write serials which can be read without reading all the ones which came before. There's nothing more off-putting than a book you can't understand! I work in as many genres as possible and read anything I can get my hands on, but have an especial love of Edgar Rice Burroughs and Alexandre Dumas. They both understood stories should be fun. Primarily I enjoy exploring characters; and the best thing about continuing fiction is gradually changing characters with whom the reader can laugh and cry and love and hate. And finally I think every book has room for humour, especially when it's inappropriate. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
