Author Information

Shane was born in 1955, as an only child, she lived with her parents on the Birchfield Road, although a lot of her childhood was spent moving around the country with her mother. She adored her father, and missed him when she was away from the family home with her mother, who she had a difficult relationship with. Her childhood was friendless due to continually moving schools, and her teenage years a challenge as she lacked the confidence to make the easy friendships teenagers learn from. Adulthood led her into a loveless marriage, until ultimately, she accepted her sexuality and was true to herself.Despite a number of relationships, Shane found herself alone in her later years. Sadly she passed away on 6th November 2021. When Shane passed away, we found a manuscript she had been writing. As we read it, we were shocked by some of the revelations, and were determined to get it printed in her memory. We hope anyone who reads her book finds it thought provoking, and tries to understand how desperate Shane was to find someone to trust, but was continuously let down by the very people she should have been able to trust.Any Royalties from the sale of ""Destruction of Innocence"" will be donated to a Charity for Dogs close to Shane's heart.
