Author Information

I am Nancy Olson. I was born on November 28, 1946, and raised in Ironwood, Michigan, a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, an Iron ore mining town on the Michigan/Wisconsin border. My mother was Italian, and my father was Swedish. I come from a family of two sisters and two brothers. I loved the great outdoors, the 4 seasons, particularly the fall colors and the mesmerizing white winter snows. The woods were my go-to places any time of the year. The clear skies and the simple life gave me peace and calm. I was pretty much a loner, and I loved to explore. My father owned a small welding shop In Hurley, Wisconsin, and my mother was a stay-at-home mom. I spent most of my childhood doing odd jobs around the house and watching my parents and brothers create and fix things where I learned so much.In school I was good at clerical skills and took a job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin after one year of college and made good use of those skills as well. I also learned how to organize, plan, and fix things. I became a professional wedding photographer and used my skills as a professional videographer to do spot assignments for two local TV stations. I enjoyed working as an Artist Consultant for a local printer. I am ""Miss Fix-It"" where I do landscaping, decluttering and you name it. Whatever my clients need done I say, ""If I can do it I will"" and I'm usually pretty good at figuring things out. My clients have become some of my best friends. There is a lot more to my story, but this is my foundation. Being a loner, I learned to go inward to find answers and I also discovered how to write and paint and find peace.Love and peace, Sincerely, Nancy Olson, aka -nom.
