Unexplained infertility was my typified case. The positive thing about it was that I learned that I had no physical defect. On the other hand, I still don't know why it didn't work. After every step in the whole IVF process and after every completed research, I expected things to work well the next time around. I had such optimism. I was well informed by the medical team that if the body still didn't do what it should do, there's something terribly evil in that body. Susanne Schrauwen (1964), now a mother of three, has been working for 25 years as a healthcare nurse. She decided to write her own IVF story for the reason that during her attempts to conceive, there was too little information available in the library about real experiences of people undergoing the procedure. She hopes to give many of us a sense of recognition.
