The author proposes a method for incorporating information technologies into local governments, based on the design and implementation of an organizational structure that is focused on a directorate or division of information technologies to ensure the successful implementation of local e-government, positive interactions with stakeholders, and the identification of the scale of the changes required. He discusses organizational structures and their types, then presents a case study of local government organizational structures and e-government implementation in local governments in Mexico, ending with a proposal for the combined implementation of an organizational structure with the implementation of an e-government system for the successful and sustainable implementation of e-government. -- Annotation (c)2019 * (protoview.com) *
