Design Automation for Quantum Computing

Overview

Quantum computers offer the ability to solve various complex problems significantly faster than the classical computers. This book provides a comprehensive overview of quantum computing from the perspective of computer scientists and engineers. The readers will get a clear understanding of various design automation steps, including specification of quantum algorithms, compiling algorithms to produce quantum circuits, mapping quantum circuits to quantum computers, and error correction for fault-tolerant quantum computing. This book serves as a single source of reference for students, researchers, and engineers for designing reliable quantum computing framework to solve the challenges in the 21st century. Introduces the readers to the domain of quantum computing. Provides an overview of design automation challenges in quantum computing. Outlines popular quantum algorithms and quantum computer architectures. Describes state-of-the-art in design automation for quantum computing, including specification, compilation, error correction, measurement, verification, and security.
