As a teenager he learned video and photography from his dad and uncle. He also took journalism in high school where he helped produce the morning school news. His journalism instructor, Mr Johnny Beavers encouraged him to further his education. So he attended the same alma mater as his dad and uncle, which was Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. At Benedict, he became interested in filmmaking. Years later after graduation, he attended film school in Orlando, Florida at F.I.R.S.T. Institute. There, he learned more in depth so far as Film and Video production. Currently, he resides in Southern Illinois and is also a graduate student at Webster University in St Louis, Missouri studying Education, which is where his inspiration for writing this novel was birthed.
