Desert Heart

Overview

Commanding, controlling and very attractive, Sheik Zafir D'Kadar Hamzah has neither the time nor inclination for distraction-and Aileah, with her unusual green eyes and thick long dark hair is undeniably a distraction. With the preparations for the fight for his birthright as King of Bahrain against the son of an old family friend at stake, he can't afford the distraction she brings. Aileah is everything he wants with every look and every touch, he's tempted to break all his rules...and claim her as his own. Kind, intelligent and full of life, Aileah Parker has not until now traveled with her handsome boss, Dr. Robert Evans, to negotiate a U.S. trade agreement in her mother's home country of Bahrain. She is excited to go and apply some of what she has learned as the doctor's assistant the past six years. She does not consider Dr. Evans to be her type even though she is his. She decides she will continue to present a cool and professional attitude during this trip. However, everything is turned upside down as they are kidnapped by a Sheik who wishes to use them as pawns in getting his stolen kingdom back. As she begins to know the Sheik better, she realizes that beneath his calm and determined exterior, is a man who could make her melt with just one kiss, one touch. Aileah feels she cannot commit to the Sheik as she does not belong in his world. The Sheik believes she is the one to become his wife and queen. Meanwhile, Dr. Evans and Aileah must escape the country to avoid being caught up in a civil war between the Sheik and his archrival!
