Author Information

Esther L. Stevens is currently a teaching assistant and an emotional literacy support assistant (ELSA), who lives in the Forest of Dean with her husband, two beautiful boys and their dog, Bear. She enjoys walking her dog in the forest and singing with her local choir and sea shanty group. Derek the Angry Dinosaur is the first book in a series that highlights the importance of helping children communicate their emotions when their feelings are too big for words. Stevens' passion for supporting children to recognise and verbalise their emotions during her ELSA sessions in primary schools inspired her to write Derek's story.
