Die Autorin: Eva Kremla, geboren 1948, Studium der Ethnologie, Botanik sowie Ur- und Frühgeschichte an der Universität Wien in den Jahren 1987 bis 1995. In dieser Zeit auch Forschungsreisen zu Indianerstämmen im Südwesten der USA sowie in Kalifornien. Von 1995 bis 1999 weiterführende Studien am Institut für Geschichte der Medizin, Abteilung Ethnomedizin, sowie am Institut für Botanik der Universität Wien. Im Peter Lang Verlag erschien bereits von Eva Kremla «Wege und Wesen der Ethnobotanik» (2001).
