Overviewthe Third Humanism is a term signifying the holistic, national pedagogical movement in reaction to the criticism of modernity in the legacy of Nietzsche. A new meaning for the present and a future Germanness was to arise on the basis of a vitalistically understood philhellenism or Greekness through the amalgamation of aesthetic, culture-critical and political considerations, conveyed through a humanistic paedeia.
