DEPOSE (an anthology of working class solidarity)

Overview

It's said that change only happens when your back is up against the wall... and here we are, born into a moment in time that is on the brink of extinction, and the best we might only be able to do at this point is mitigate the damage. If there's any hope to turn all this around, it will only come through our class solidarity... of each receiving what they need, while doing what they can to make a better world than the one that was left to them. It's our working class diversity that gives us our strength... we each have something to contribute... and we are the many... nothing is beyond our reach. As poets, as writers, our contribution is our empathy... of feeling these issues so deeply that we put the entirety of our thought and the years of our lives to put all this into words, so that those with other abilities can take those ideas and make them a reality... for anything we can imagine, we can make real. The evolution of our times is now upon us and collectively this is our time to act, to stand up and say enough... that it's time to throw the old ways out and go in a new direction... one where we place our energy into healing this planet and caring for all, of having space for everyone... for this is not a competition. We have the right to rewrite the rules, so that they favor the many... for when we all win, we all win. These are some of the thoughts that enter my head as I put this collection together, bringing poets from around the world together to have this much needed conversation of how we depose of a corrupted system of greed that benefits only a few, while lifting up the many in solidarity with our working class sisters and brothers.
