Depolarization and Gloconomy: Towards World Harmony

Overview

This book addresses two significant aspects of the world. First, the world is experiencing a significant polarization of viewpoints and behaviors on a large scale. Second, the world has blindly drifted from localization to globalization of trade. After explaining the cause and evils of polarization and globalization, the book proposes two simple and practical solutions. An appropriate modification in the sitting arrangement of members in meetings can reduce polarization. Allowing transactional taxes to depend on the distance between the source and destination can promote a gloconomy, an economy that is neither too localized nor too globalized. The proposed solutions are not the best or the only possible solutions to the problems, but they are definitely worth considering.
