Denton Deadline

Overview

In this first novel in a series, a sophisticated Los Angeles digital journalist assigned to cover the Denton 500's RaceWeek discovers she's underestimated the stock-car-racing scene. Her assignment also reveals her new destiny, after a mysterious escort rescues her from a meddling FBI agent only to deliver her heart to the motorsport's star. Accounts of the motorsport's founding, Big Bill France's construction of Denton International Speedway, and other stock-car racing lore-and an unexpected trip to the stock-car association's Charlotte, North Carolina community-open the SoCal journalist's eyes. She learns not just of the sport's rich history but also of its possibilities. She also discovers that she has a lot to learn about life, the world, and herself. Accompany a maturing soul into the heart of stock-car racing. And maybe learn something about the motorsport, America, life, and yourself.
