Hell wants him dead and Heaven needs him to survive to win the war for souls. A war that neither Freddy nor Jenny has any idea exists as non-believers. Freddy, a pool hustler, and his pickpocket girlfriend Jenny, are pulled out of their normal day of hustling on the strip and into the spiritual world filled with Demons and Angels. Meeting in the orphanage at a young age, they feel that they are a couple meant for each other, forever. After watching Freddy be tormented by nightmares all of his life and after trying nearly everything to stop them, Jenny starts looking for ""alternative"" cures for his nighttime 'fantasies' as she labels them. Freddy wants free of his nightmares as well, but he has other ideas of how to go about it, and goes looking for his long lost Uncle Jimmy, who he believes will have the answers he is looking for. While Freddy is away searching for help, Jenny finds herself in trouble with Lucifer himself, who is creating a trap for Freddy when he returns; a trap that will finish the job that was left incomplete at his birth. The only way Freddy will avoid being destroyed by Lucifer, is if he finds salvation, redeeming his soul and giving him access to the armor and weapons he is going to need to defeat Lucifer.
