Index.ReviewsAuthor InformationAndrew Dunning is a lecturer in social policy at Swansea University and a member of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Ageing. Over the past 20 years he has been engaged in policy, practice and academic work in the field of gerontology. Previous posts include Deputy Director of the BethJohnson Foundation; national advocacy and engagement development officer for the Cabinet Office-led Better Government for Older People programme; Chairperson of the Older People's Advocacy Alliance (OPAAL) UK; and policy researcher at the Centre for Policy on Ageing and Help the Aged. Andrew is currently a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Adult Protection and Dementia: The International Journal of Social Research. Kay Steven is a National Advocacy Development Manager. From 2001-2006 she worked at Dementia North at Northumbria University, during which time she helped to research and develop a Department of Health-funded study on dementia advocacy.
