Author Information

Holly Weane always knew she wanted to be a children's book author. As a kid, she spent all her time writing silly, spooky stories inspired by her favorite holiday: Halloween. Her first two books, Dem Bones and 5 Very Little Pumpkins, are perfect examples of all of her favorite things wrapped up into sweet stories for children to enjoy. Ivana Forgo was born in Subotica, a small town in northern Serbia, where she was surrounded by endless fields of wildflowers and immersed in Slavic fairy tales. Drawn to illustration for its ability to transport viewers into magical worlds, she brings her romantic style to the world of children's books and draws inspiration from her flower garden. Chason McKay is a drummer, percussionist, and a founding member of Willie Pearl. His rhythmic background was established while he was in high school, where he served as a section leader during his last two years. He began his transition from marching drums to drum kit in early 2016, after playing a philanthropic show with Willie Pearl members Henry Rogers and Ben Murphy. With a southern rock style underlaid with tones of the blues, he cites John Bonham, Don Henley, and Dave Grohl as inspiration. Henry Rogers starting playing instruments and writing music in middle school. In high school, he played banjo and sang in a folk/bluegrass group. A founding member of the band Willie Pearl, he currently studies audio production at Middle Tennessee State University.
