Overview

Starting in Philadelphia, this route uses regional bike routes, bike paths and secondary roads to negotiate urban landscapes to Wilmington, DE. Along the way, riders will pass innumerable points of interest related to early American history. The main route passes through central Delaware and the state capital of Dover, whereas the 193.5-mi. Chesapeake Option heads west to strike through the Eastern Shore of Maryland through the historic towns of Cambridge and Princess Anne, and the cultural/natural landmarks of Harriet Tubman National Historical Park and Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge.
