I'm guessing if you picked up this book, you want to be a great leader. My life story could be different from yours in every way, but you have to understand why I decided to share my story with you. I wrote this book to inspire people just like you to become great in whatever you have been created to do. And I'm here to tell you something that might surprise you. Throw out all the conventional wisdom you learned about leadership in school and from listening to the fancy gurus. Great leadership doesn't start how you think it does. Most people assume that leadership is something that you see in other people or model after someone famous. I'm here to destroy all those misconceptions. Those are fairy tales. All great leadership begins with your eyes closed, not open. My entire life has been constructed around the pursuit of one word: Legacy. Even without a father around to inspire me, even with the hard circumstances that I had to grow up in, from a young age, I knew that I was different and destined for something more. I knew that I was supposed to be a leader, a great leader. If you're okay with being an average leader, this book will frustrate you. I'm not here to give you a cliche blueprint of what I've learned from others. And I'm not interested in comforting the average in you. I want to shock your system and motivate you because you can be great. The vision you see with your eyes closed and the world that you'll create requires you to be a great leader.

Brandon Siler, a former NFL player, is the founder of Legacy Pro Sports and the owner of Pure Recovery California. After an impressive football career that included stints with the San Diego Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs, Siler decided to turn his attention to entrepreneurship. He founded Legacy Pro Sports with the goal of assisting former NFL players who are unable to obtain NFL disability benefits.
