Deep Hum Protocol is set in a future where Earth has gone completely silent. Not metaphorically sound itself has become deadly. Ethereal entities known as Aural Spirits have forced humanity underground, where people survive in tight-knit Bunker Colonies, communicating in sign language and depending on Respirator Masks to live. The story follows Lyra, a sharp, intuitive scavenger who ventures to the surface for supplies and intel. Her younger sister, Elara, is fragile and at risk, and that drives nearly everything Lyra does. The world outside isn't just haunted by spirits, it's stalked by the Stillborn, a terrifying faction of humans who've learned to weaponize silence and use the spirits as tools of control. As Lyra's missions grow more dangerous, she loses her closest allies and uncovers a truth she wasn't ready for: Anya, once a friend, is now helping lead the Stillborn. The Elders in the Colony, rigid and bound by outdated science, can't keep up. Lyra stops waiting. She breaks protocol and heads into forbidden zones. There, she learns from outsiders who've adapted differently. Nomadic Clans live in tune with the silence. Remnants of a forgotten group, the Harmonizers, understood how to work with vibration itself. And deep below, the mysterious Keepers of the Heart reveal a dangerous concept: a pulse of chaotic sound that confuses and disrupts the Stillborn's weaponized order. Back at the Colony, Elara is fading. Lyra returns, maskless, sick, and spent. Against the Elders' orders, she triggers the paradoxical pulse, buying the Colony a brief moment of peace. It works, but the cost is her life. What follows is chaos. The Elders are split. Solara, once a voice of reason, now talks of war.
