Dr. DeKosky attained his Ph.D. in the lab of George Georgiou at the University of Texas at Austin where he developed new technologies for sequencing complete antibody variable regions from single B cells. Dr. DeKosky performed postdoctoral studies in the lab of John Mascola at the NIAID Vaccine Research Center, applying high-throughput technologies to accelerate public health vaccine development. His lab at KU seeks to leverage high-throughput platforms to understand the features of adaptive immune protection and develop novel strategies to combat human diseases.
