Overview"England to Canada in a Microlight... ""Decision made. Today was the day to die. Might happen, might not. A fifty fifty call. I was seeing the world through a haze, but I was gong""... ""It's a very strange process both fearing death whilst also considering how you want to die. The conclusion I came to was that I'd rather pop off after a successful crash landing, in terms of being able to walk away from it, and then die of hypothermia""... ""Nothing to do but be cheerful and put my dogged head on. I'm British, don't ya know, and proud to be so. That always gives me an extra level of self confidence."" He's managed to cram a few things into his life that could be considered of note... Work wise he's worked his way to the top of Canary Wharf and poked his head out, helped put searchlights on the Eiffel Tower and managed the lighting installation on the Wobbly Millennium bridge.... Physically he ran the Berlin Marathon the year after the Wall came down and then over the years added the Paris, New York, Moscow, Reykjavik, Los Angeles and most recently the Sahara marathons to the list... From a flying perspective he's flown through the Bermuda Triangle in a Cessna, landed at Orlando International in a single engine C150 & flown over the Space Shuttle's landing site (Cape Kennedy) at midnight... In terms of Microlights he's won the GPS category of the 2012 Round Britain Microlight Rally (in conjunction with David Gaskell) and more recently was presented with both the BMAA 'Chairmans Trophy' and the RAeC's Britannia Trophy courtesy of the Duke of York. He's also a Trustee of the Microlight Flying Foundation charity... There's been a few other adventures along the way that he's listed at the end of the book.
