He earned his PhD in sociology in 2019 from the École Normale Supérieure de Paris-Saclay with a dissertation titled Historical Sociology of the Turkish State: An Incomplete Institutionalization. His research focuses primarily on Turkish politics, including decentralization policies and civil-military relations.
